Wood Storage Shed Plans

If you are like most people, you never have enough storage space.  There are many shed plans to be found, and some are free!  You really shouldn’t attempt to build a shed without finding out how to do it right. 

I know the feeling of needing more storage space – summer tools, four wheelers and other items piled up in a corner of the garage.  You may even have a room in your house affectionately called the “junk room”. 

We all accumulate lots of items over the years, and most of us don’t have the storage space needed for all our memorabilia.  This is when an attempt to locate some free shed plans might be needed.

There is nothing more annoying than having lots of “stuff”, and nowhere to put it.  I have a deck on one end of my house that is about 6 feet off the ground.  I used to store my lawn mower, wheel barrow, and garden tools under the deck!

Okay for a temporary solution, but not really the ideal storage area, especially since rain and moisture drips through between the boards on the deck.  You really need a storage shed so that you can keep your expensive belongings dry in damp weather.

Of course, you can always build your own shed using plans that you have designed yourself, but this can be a little risky unless you really know what you are doing.  Most people build their shed too small, not doing the proper planning from the beginning.

Doing research before you begin is a smart idea.  Make sure to plan according to all that you want to do with your shed.  Is it just for storage, or will you also use it as a work area?  If this is the case, you need to add plenty of room for easy access and walking around your work area. 

You can find many storage shed plans that are extremely affordable, some as cheap as one dinner out with the family!  This is a good investment, especially if you have alot of costly items you need to store.  You can also find some free plans, but there aren’t nearly as many choices of size and style with the free varieties.

When it gets to the point that you have to park your car in the driveway because there’s no room in the garage or carport anymore, it’s time to do something.  You know it will only get worse!  If you are desperate for more storage, do something about it.  Start looking for free shed plans!
